Extending business to the Internet for Telecommunications

One of the Client's important customer segments is its Web Hosting facilities market. The current Web Hosting infrastructure provides services to the customers by hosting the customer's contents in a Unix platform that runs Apache web server. It enables virtual hosting on a single IP address. The customers gets unlimited FTP Access, and they may get access to their respective 'Access' and 'Error' log files for each virtual host. The current configuration for the existing web server supports normal HTML, CGI, and SSI.

Although this was adequate in less competitive times, the management saw that, in a world of Web empowered customers, such a strategy would lose ground to more customer-centric alternatives. This pressing prompts the Client to actively consider extending their business and leverage the Internet to jump-start their efforts to improve efficiencies, increase customer base and partner satisfaction, while carefully managing their costs.
